Michigan Senator Gary Peters seeks a Regional Representative for his Metro Detroit office. This individual will: act as the Senator’s liaison to government, community and constituent groups, in addition to civic leaders in Northern Oakland, Northern Macomb, and St. Clair Counties.
This position will monitor developments, opinions and concerns in the region and update the Senator and his staff accordingly, in addition to attending civic meetings, community gatherings, and other events, representing the Senator in his absence.
The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communications skills, a demonstrated capability to work independently and generate new ideas, and the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. Qualified applicants will have several years of experience in government and/or community outreach and solid ties to the Metro Detroit area.
