We are once again calling upon our friends to help us spread the word about the wonderful work of Yatooma’s Foundation For The Kids, and our annual Gala to raise much needed funds to help our special kids who have said goodbye to Mom and Dad too soon.
As you know, Yatooma’s Foundation For The Kids was founded in loving memory of Norman’s father Manuel Yatooma a local Chaldean businessman, who was taken from his family in a homicide in 1993. The family started the Foundation to help families along the same path of grief and uncertainty they were thrust on to.
With your support, we are able to live our mission of bringing tenderness to tragedy and turning tragedy into triumph for kids who have lost a parent. We have statistics and figures that can show you what we see daily in the lives of our kids and families, but their faces show a greater impact We see calm, where there was once fear, we see hope where there was once despair and bewilderment, and finally, we see joy and belief in a better future, made possible with the support of our friends like you.
We realize you are approached by many worthy charities in the area, but would be honored to be among those you call your own. While it is one thing for us to speak of our many successes, we are not alone. We have been audited by Plante Moran every year since 2007, for nearly a decade we have received an unqualified and unmodified rating. This is the highest level of assurance that an independent auditor can provide a non-profit.
